Hello my sweet followers!

So I just came back from holidays and I found my January Owlcrate box. The monthly theme was Classic Remix. I had been kind of spoiled on Instagram. I was on holidays so I did not have access to my mailbox :(  As usual, the monthly plan and the shipping costs are quite expensive (if you live in Europe) but you will not regret it. 

 What is it?
Owlcrate is a YA book box with different themes every month. They adapt their content according to their monthly theme. You receive a book recently published along with some goodies. All the goodies are created by famous Instagrammers/Bookstagrammers.

  • A Slaughterhouse Five bookmark designed by Lexy Olivia.
  • A magnet inspired by The Phantom of the Opera and designed by Sweet Sequels.

  • A book RoseBlood by A.G. Howard.
What did you think about it?

Once again. the box was good but still not one of my favorite one. I liked the magnet and the bookmark and  the book seems interesting. I love the cover! 
I have subscribed to the monthly renewal plan. So I will keep you updated about the new boxes to come.

Plot:

Bonjour tout le monde !

Ça y est, c'est reparti avec la box de janvier ! Au programme, le thème de l'amour ! Eh oui, la Saint-Valentin arrive avant l'heure cette année. 

Qu'est-ce que c'est?
Mille et un livres box est une box qui proposent des livres Jeunes Adultes et des goodies avec, chaque mois, un nouveau thème.

Qu'est-ce qu'elle contient?
  • Un vernis à ongle inspiré d'Harry Potter et du Prince de Sang-Mêlé et imaginé par LynBDesign. 
  • Des chaussettes rayées jaune et noir provenant de KozySocks et inspiré du livre et film Avant Toi. 
  • Un miroir de poche créée par Ruth Joyce et inspirée du célèbre roman Nos Étoiles Contraires. 
  • Un crayon à papier Mille et un livres. 
  • Un livre Les Romantics, écrit par Leah Konen. 

Mon avis : 
Je dois dire que c'est une de mes box préférées ! J'ai absolument adoré les goodies, notamment les chaussettes et le miroir de poche. Si vous saviez à quel point j'ai adoré Nos Étoiles Contraires. Le vernis à ongles est tout bonnement magnifique ! J'adore la couleur. Bref, que des petites choses utiles ^^

Hi there!

And I received my January Fairyloot box. As usual, I subscribed to a one-month box because between Fairyloot, Owlcrate and Mille et un livres, it gets quite expensive and unfortunately, I cannot afford all these boxes every month :(


What is it?

Plot:

Meet Roxane Gisele Logan, also known as Roxie. She has been in a relationship with Billy for over seven years but as things turned badly she tried to leave him - that was three years ago. Love turned to fear and Roxanne tried her best to flee but he always found his way back to her. 

With Annette's help - who is Roxanne's colleague and one of her closest friend, she runs away to her uncle... Tex (yes, Tex, THE Tex, the crazy Tex) in Denver. For her, it is only a temporary stop. At least, that's what she thought...
Sitting on the couches, all drinking coffee, were a bunch of men. Not just any men. It looked like GQ was having a convention and all the best looking guys had decided to have a coffee at Fortnum's before going to seminars on how to cope with being really, unbelievably, fucking gorgeous. 

[...| it was only the one with whisky-colored eyes that got my attention. They were all looking at me, but the minute my eyes hit Whisky, I felt light-headed and had to stand stock still or I'd haven fallen over in a dead faint.

Through this, Jet’s got to learn that even when life made you give up your dreams, you can still end up with the (hot) guy. Eddie’s got to rescue Jet from a bad man (so he can do better things with her) and teach her that some dreams can come true.

Plot:

Jet - whose real name is actually Henrietta Louise McAlister - is a twenty-eight year-old woman. She has a sister called Charlotte - but everyone calls her Lottie - and she lives with her mother Nancy. Lottie left as soon as she graduated and ended up getting a "boob job", which basically consists in "lounging on muscle cars with half her ass hanging out", which basically left Jet supporting her mother. Eight months ago her mom had a stroke that left her with her whole left side paralyzed. She lost her job, her insurance and her apartment. Jet takes care of her the best she can, which means that she has to cumulate two jobs: one at Indy's bookstore (Fortnum's) and another at Smithie's. 

Jet has two main problems: Eddie and her extreme shyness. So when the two collide, it hurts.

Plot:

India Savage - known as Indy - is the daughter of a cop and a mom who passed away when Indy was five. She has been in love for her whole life with Liam Nightingale - also known as Lee. She is best friend with his sister Allison Nightingale - also known as Ally - and the both of them have been in quite some trouble. 
"[Kitty Sue] had three kids of her own to look after. And two of those kids were Lee and Ally and that right there is enough said."
India Savage is a pure "rock 'n' roll chick". Combined with Ally, they are both unstoppable. Indy owns a bookstore and this is their headquarters. They always get into troubles together. So when Indy is having trouble and getting shot at because one of her employees - who sells pot - ends up with stolen diamonds from a very bad guy, her first call is for Ally. And Ally being Ally, she voluntary and subtly drags Lee into this mess. 
Why Lee? Because he is a badass guy doing some secretive security work. Oh, and also maybe because he is super freaking hot and super-protective and the type of Alpha male you don't meet in every book.

So if you've known a bit of Kristen Ashley's work, you probably heard of the Rock Chicks. If not, this is a huge mistake and you need to buy the book RIGHT! NOW! And I mean right now. Don't even finish reading this review. Just go already! 

We've already seen Marcus Sloan and Daisy in the previous Rock Chicks books. Marcus Sloan is this bad guy who will make your heart melt while Daisy is this perfect Southern woman who looks like Dolly Parton. We knew that Daisy had been a stripper in her past and what a stripper she was - one of the best!
